I am a born and raised Vermonter who has been living in Portland, Maine for the past two years. I am very excited to move back home and be a part of the First Roots team. I have been working in early childhood education for ten years now and I have taught preschool as well as infant-toddler in this time. I have a Bachelors degree from the University of Vermont and a Masters degree from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, both in early childhood special education. Over the past three years I have been focusing on growing my skills supporting and mentoring teachers. I am also skilled at individualizing support within classrooms to ensure that all children can participate in, and positively impact their environment. 

In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends which includes my dog, Lucy. I also love baking and have been trying to learn how to do basic embroidery. I also love soaking in the amazing beauty of Vermont and I am excited to be surrounded by the Green Mountains again.
